About Tammy McClenney
Tammy McClenney was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is an experienced and compassionate attorney who assists her clients with family law matters. When clients are experiencing difficulties in the area of family law, such as in Divorce and Child Custody cases they need an attorney that understands the emotional rollercoaster they may be experiencing and be able to assist by providing personal attention, guidance and sound legal advice.
Tammy also assists clients who are facing Criminal and Traffic Violations. Additionally, she handles matters in other areas of the law such as criminal record expungement, gun right restoration, protective orders. She has extensive experience in Child Abuse and Child Dependency cases and opposing Child Protective Services. Tammy has been involved in the legal realm in some capacity for over 30 years. She served as a police officer and detective with the Virginia Beach Police Department and retired as a Sergeant with over a decade of service.
After retiring from the Virginia Beach Police Department, she joined the Virginia Beach Office of the Commonwealth’s attorney where she spent 5 years focusing primarily on assisting victims with prosecution of Domestic Assault and Battery and Violation of Protective Orders. During her time there she enrolled, participated and successfully completed the Virginia Law Reader Program. Thereafter becoming a licensed attorney she then opened her own firm, McClenney Law, PLLC and operated as a solo practitioner for almost a decade before joining Randall & Bruch.
When Tammy is not working hard advocating for her clients, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her two amazing daughters. She enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and playing poker. She also enjoys coaching fastpitch softball, riding her motorcycle and participating in many outdoor activities such as boating, fishing and hunting. Tammy’s unique background, perspective and life experiences help her guide and counsel her clients through what may be the most challenging time of their lives.
